Direct TV: Pros and Cons
Thursday, October 02, 2008Direct TV is one of the best alternatives to local cable providers, who can be notoriously spotty with customer services, strange fees, and poor service. But Direct TV is not perfect. This list will discuss some of the pros and cons about this product.
Direct TV Pros:
Direct TV has the Sunday Ticket. This is a sensational way to enjoy NFL Football. Several concurrent games are watchable and you have the ability to watch every game comerical and slo motion free. you can watch entire games in about 45 minutes.
Direct TV's prices are generally lower.
Direct TV has the most channels available compared with any competitor.
Direct TV Cons:
The biggest con concerning Direct TV, is that the weather can disrupt the signal. This is a problem for most people who don't live in the Sahara desert, because it will rain from time to time. The effect is worse when it is lightning.
Direct TV's menu is generally slower than most local cable providers. While this is small gripe, it is not one that shouldn't be part of the argument. I personally hate slow menus and it lowers my enjoyment of watching TV.
Also, Direct TV uses satellite technology, and its transfer rate and reliability is less than Local cable providers.
